Street Department
 The
Street Department involves the maintenance and construction of some 84 miles of
streets within the city limits. The
department oversees the maintenance of storm sewers, ditches, mowing
right-of-way, litter removal, Winterfest light installation, pothole patching
and street paving. The department
makes street name markers, replaces light bulbs and traffic control signals.
They are in charge of painting street markings, sidewalks maintenance and
construction. The department
consist of 23 employees who also perform the annual leaf pick up program and
animal control.
