Traffic Enforcement and Safety

The officers of the Pigeon Forge Police Department are committed to keeping our city’s roads safe for both residents and the millions of visitors who come here each year. Enforcing traffic laws is essential to maintaining the safety of our community and all who travel through it. While all traffic laws are important, the most common violations we address include:

  1. Speeding
  2. Driver’s License Violations
  3. Driving Without Insurance

In addition to traditional traffic enforcement, the Pigeon Forge Police Department also prioritizes Driving Under the Influence (DUI) prevention. To strengthen these efforts, we have trained Drug Recognition Evaluators (DRE) officers who are specially skilled in identifying drivers under the influence of drugs. These officers work closely with the Governor’s Highway Safety Office and other law enforcement agencies during quarterly campaigns.

By following traffic laws, you help ensure Pigeon Forge remains a safe place for everyone—whether you're a local resident or visiting from out of town.
